Over the past few months, the stock market has generally moved upward, with major U.S. indices such as the S&P 500 reaching or approaching record highs. Gains have been supported by strong corporate earnings, continued optimism around artificial intelligence and technology-driven growth, and improved sentiment as some geopolitical and trade tensions eased. At the same time, the rally has become increasingly concentrated in a small number of large tech and AI-focused companies, raising concerns about narrow market breadth and stretched valuations. While the overall environment has been positive, investors remain attentive to risks such as uncertain interest-rate expectations, elevated valuations, and the potential for volatility if earnings or economic data disappoint.
